President Tsai was re-elected by a wide margin. In her victory speech, she said that the deeper meaning of this election's result is that whenever Taiwan's sovereignty and democracy are loudly threatened, the people of Taiwan will cry out with a louder voice in the cause of Taiwan's perseverance.
