失業；待業；冇嘢做等工開；以前無工做嘅咕哩(苦力)會去碼頭流連等候工作，由於無凳坐，只能長時間踎響繫纜石躉，於是有此叫法 to be unemployed; to be jobless; to be down and out; literally: to squat on a mooring-post. Previously unemployed coolies will go to pier to wait for job, as there's no seat in the pier, they have to squat on the mooring bollards.
