用法同「之」。日文本身讀no [nɔ̜ ̝]，係「…之…、…嘅…」噉解。但受到香港品牌「優の良品」讀做「優之良品」影響，中文夾雜「の」字嘅話，多數會讀成「之」，或者直接用返「之」字代替，例如商場「新の城」會讀做「新之城」甚至打成「新之城」。喺現今香港，有唔少舖頭、品牌為求睇落去有日本嘅風味，都會用個「の」字去代替「的／之／嘅」字 used the same way as 之;loan from Japanese; it is pronounced "no" [nɔ̜ ̝] in Japanese, but in Hong Kong it is often simply pronounced "之 (zi1)", and the character "之" can be substituted in place of "の"; for example "新の城" is pronounced "新之城" and can be written as "新之城"; in Hong Kong, many brand names use "の" in place of "之" in attempt to pass off as authentic Japanese
